Across preschool and elementary grades, we systematically provide our students with access to an appropriate grade level, standards based curriculum while concurrently balancing instruction and learning in the use of a wide range of AT for communication, mobility, participation and learning.
The purpose of this section is to illustrate our instructional process through lesson plans that have been designed and implemented with a range of Bridge School students. Additionally, this information is intended to guide practitioners and families in finding ways to meaningfully incorporate AAC/AT in the context of ongoing, engaging educational activities in ways that maximize participation and learning in a range of learning environments. As you will see, each lesson plan is aligned with California’s Content Standards and indicates representative IEP goals that can be addressed and measured for progress monitoring. Once the Standards and lesson objectives have been established, the lesson format is developed and individualized for implementation in the classroom.
Each contribution makes a difference in the lives of our children. Visit our secure donation page and fill out the form to make your secure online donation.
